Program management framework

Project Management Phases

From initiation through closeout, ZMC brings structure to ambiguous programs and keeps delivery tied to business outcomes.

Initiation

  • Clarify the business problem, objectives, sponsors, stakeholders, constraints, and success measures
  • Produce the business case, feasibility view, charter, stakeholder map, and initial RAID log

Planning

  • Build the roadmap, work breakdown structure, resource plan, budget, risk plan, communication plan, and quality approach
  • Translate strategy into milestones, dependencies, governance, and execution cadence

Execution

  • Mobilize workstreams, manage resources, coordinate dependencies, track deliverables, and maintain stakeholder alignment
  • Resolve issues quickly while protecting scope, timeline, cost, and quality

Monitoring & Controlling

  • Measure performance against schedule, budget, benefits, quality, adoption, risk, and readiness
  • Use dashboards, RAID reviews, steering committees, and corrective-action planning to keep the program under control

Closing

  • Confirm deliverables, benefits, ownership transfer, sign-offs, lessons learned, and future-state operating routines
  • Close the project with evidence, documentation, and a clean handoff to the business
